it's that time of year again!!

FALL PLAY auditions are just around the corner!

This year's show, "North Woods Nonsense" is a comedy set in Moosebottome Lake, Maine. The show involves unique patrons, Bigfoot, and an inept congressmen who wants to fill the Grand Canyon with water and make it a lakeside resort! This hilarious production has roles for everyone, both large and small, and there is NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! Auditions will be SEPT 18 from 7-9pm and SEPT 19 from 3-5pm in Listiak Auditorium. Homecoming Dance September 29th

Our Semi- Formal SHHS Homecoming Dance will be on Saturday September 29th in the cafe from 7:00PM-10:00PM. Cost will be $5.00

HOMECOMING INFORMATION Homecoming is September 28 against Three Rivers.

 

The dress up days for the week is as follows:

 

The theme for this year is Ascending To New Heights.

 

Monday - Military day or USA

 

Tuesday - Teacher Trap Day ( dress like a teacher and teacher's dress like students)

 

Wednesday - class color day ( Teachers wear Red)

 

Thursday - Theme day (Teachers wear college shirt)

 

Friday - PURPLE AND GOLD

 

 

We do not have a gym this year so we decided to play a little kick ball out on the baseball fields. More information to come. We will be on assembly schedule that day.

 

 

The Parade is at 5:30 I would love to see a big turn out with clubs and sports. For example, theater advertising the fall play would be awesome Erin.

 

 

Homecoming Dance - September 29 at 7:00 for 9-12 graders. We need chaperones for the dance. Last winter the dance was a success and students had fun. They love seeing the teachers, Salyer was a hit at the dance.

Attention students

6th Grade Camp

Any 11th or 12th graders interested in being a 6th grade camp counselor.

 

All applications must be submitted to the HS Main office by Wed 9/19. Extra applications are in the main office

 


 

The Office is NOT a locker room Attn Students: Starting Monday, you will NOT be able to drop off your athletic gear, back packs, etc in the front office. We are not a locker room. If you need an additional locker along with your hallway locker, please see Mr. Verseput or Mr McWhinnie and we will get you one in a locker room. Thanks for your co-operation.

FIRST ART CLUB MEETING OF THE YEAR

High School Art Club (and NAHS) will have its first meeting this Thursday September 20th after school in the art room.

College Night at Lake Michigan College

College Night will be held Monday, September 24, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Grand Upton Hall of The Mendel Center at the LMC Benton Harbor campus. Over 100 colleges, universities and military institutions have been invited to participate in this event. High school students and their parents/guardians can meet with representatives in just one location to get their questions answered and reduce the hassle in finding the college that's right for them. Choosing a college is a big decision that can take endless hours of research and long road trips.

 

So, attend College Night at Lake Michigan College.

 

 

College Night will be held Monday, September 24, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Grand Upton Hall of The Mendel Center at the Benton Harbor campus.

Board of Education Awards Reschedule

Mark your calendars! Due to the superintendent search timeline, this year's Board of Education Awards have been moved to Tuesday, November 27th at 6:30 PM in Listiak Auditorium.These awards recognize students (10th - 12th grade) that have maintained a grade point average of 3.200 or above for the 2017-18 school year. Students being honored at the ceremony will receive an invitation by mail closer to the event!
