Special Education



Earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Hope College, where he majored in Special Education and holds an endorsement in the area of Emotional Impairments.  Jason is certified to teach elementary education (K-5 all subjects) and Special Education K-12.  He is currently completing  Master’s Degree programs at Grand Valley State University in Special Education Administration and Educational Leadership.  He and his wife Cara were raised in South Haven, and currently reside in Holland with their three beautiful children.

   This is my 2nd year at South Haven High School where I teach special education. I have a degree in K-12 Learning Disabilities from Spring Arbor University. I am currently working on my master's degree in special education emotional impairments from Western Michigan University. This school year I am co-teaching in two physical science classes and two chemistry classes along with have an academic support class. I love teaching at the high school!!! I live in Zeeland with my husband Brent. I love to bake and cook in my spare time!


  My name is Jennifer Otto. I am a graduate from Western Michigan University with a Master's Degree in Special Education. I have endorsements in Emotional Impairments, Learning Disabilities, Secondary English Language Arts and Communication/Public Speaking. I have been teaching for 10 years and have an incredible passion for educating children. My husband is a foster care worker in Van Buren county and we have an adorable 6 year old daughter named Charlotte who will start 1st grade this school year. I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to teach at South Haven. I plan to bring my energy and passion to the students of South Haven High School, and I hope to make a difference!
